The Confusion
|
I have the pitbull new front. Personally, I don't need the ability to service the forks all that often. In hindsite, I wish I had gotten the regular fork stand, and the conversion kit that way I could use just the regular stand most of the time, and toss the conversion on only when I need it. Having to crouch down and find the hole for the pin on the new front stand after every session at a trackday gets old after a while.

yes its a little more of a pain, but youre already croushed to get the warmers on ,right? just saying, but if you worry about the looks of your front fender you ought to stick to the fork lift IMHO. |

Its always a multi-crouch scenario. That stuff, without fail, is always outside arms reach of each other.

also i found the the tripple tree lift style is kind of a pain,or more so,than the under fork style for wheel swaps.

I have the converter kit on mine but have yet to lift it by the steering stem. Im sure I'll like it either way. I got lucky and bought a used one for less then want a used front pitbull stand goes for without the conversion.

Thanks for the contributions.
Anybody used the converter setup much? I would think there would be some play in them at that joint because of the giving nature of the rubber cleats, and use of cotter pins. |

There's no load on the cotter pins. Therefore, they do not induce any play into the mechanism.
