Good Point. Hadn't really considered that. I think I'm gonna just give up and have it all tattooed on my chest.

That can be removed by asphalt easily too! (Maybe not us, but gearless squids fo sho!)

I was thinking a dog tag, but maybe on a chain inside my shirt. Or either print and laminate something and somehow make it stay on the space inside my full face helmet where the labels and stuff are (chin area)

No, I meant literally wear the dog tag around your neck inside your jacket when you ride.....

yea i posted it on the other thread....here is mine:

I got it at Army Surplus less than $10 each, one has my personal information and the other tag has my ICE info on it. They have several types to chose from even a bracelet with the dog tag plate build into it. You can put on your keychain, necklace....etc. What you see in the pic is what they gave me...(chain, rubber outline and two tags).

The store is located on Hwy 6 between FM529 and W.Little York (east side of 6) next to Krogers..

They take only a couple of minutes to make and they are ready for you on the spot depending on how busy they are and how many folks are working.

HIghly recommended for everyone....

maybe it should be mandatory for ICE contacts to be on your drivers license, theres alot of space on the back after restrictions to put that info and the first thing emergency caregivers grab. the only bad side is peeps need to keep info updated.

everyone can go on to: https://www.medids.com/free-id.php
and make a ID for free... type it all out then it'll make a card for you, just print it out... I'm going to look into the dog tags also

I know people that have had the wrong address on their DL for many years, alot of people wouldn't be likely to update that like they should. Not to mention no one wants to spend another $25 just cause their emergency contact got a new phone

Keep emergency contact, blood type and any prescription drugs you're taking and any prescription drugs allergies on a small card in your wallet.

In your cell phone save several numbers under ICE = In Case of Emergency.

Give your regular riding buddies emergency contact info to store in their phones.
I have emergency contact info for the 4 people I ride with almost every Sunday, and they have mine.
Do you still ride?

This looks like the way to go, 2 sets might be a good idea, 1 on the bike and 1 on your person?

Good idea there Greg!

The only thing I would do different is put it inside the helmet, like in the open area by your chin, then maybe put on the exterior of the helmet Emergency Info Located Inside Helmet. That way it wouldn't get rashed off, or if you didn't want just anyone to be able to get your name/number.

That is a good idea too. Well it is a rule you have it in CMRA. Several months ago swifty(sp) Erick brought this up in a LSTD conversation. I think he had some one to make cards for him, but I can't remember the details.

i plan to get numbers from my humble people i've been riding with on Wednesdays.
Good point, so many use the site maybe an extra spot on your profile to put such info?

I think that's a really good idea. There is almost always a mod or admin online.

+1 on putting ICE inside the chin area of your helmet. Usually after a crash the helmet is the #1 peice of preferred gear to make it to the hospital with you!

Here is another option. I ride a road bicycle a lot as well and this place sells dog-tag like emergency info on necklaces or wristbands, etc.
