it takes a while man. just stick with it and dont worry about the numbers so much at first. its all about the form.

I was fortunate learn how to workout from fooball coaches and then larry, anthony (rip), and jonothan clark. all world class powerlifters. (anthony was the first guy to bench 600 lbs as a teenager and then 800lbs). he also was the first guy in texas to squat 1100lbs I never even knew what cutting and bulking was till about 4 years ago.

I think that sport is worse for your body than motorcycles

knee wraps and thats a weight you eventually build up to.

plus. there was studies that showed that most blow outs come from explosive moments such as running and fast rep movements. lifting that much weight just stops being that explosive. very slow when you see them. but thats not saying that blowouts never happen.

Back in highschool when I was in gymnastics I tore the ligament that held my shoulder in place. It happened while I was on the rings doing something they named "dislocates" (how ironic). It wasn't fun. I knew it was fubar'd, but the next morning after the meet I rolled over onto my arm and used my elbow to push me up and my arm popped and collapsed. I had to have surgery. I had full motion back in about 4 weeks but it's still not what it used to be. It wasn't fun, but such is life. Make sure to enjoy the meds, though

Lol no meds. I told people that I dont believe in pain meds after my wreck. and so now everybody I know (including my girl) expects me to live up to it. so here I am trying to save face. by giving up those nice nice drugs.

na, not worried about numbers. i keep muh form good. i used to lift in high school when i wrestled, but the coaches werent the best when it came to strength training. i did alot of cardio type excersizing and high rep lifting for stamina. dont really have any intentions on powerlifting, merely amatuer bb shows in a couple years. i usually rep 405 for 8 on my dl. its slowly been increasing even on my cut. i work alot of variations of squats (sumos, closies, hack, front) i also do good morings, stiff leg dl's. right now however ive been increasing reps to 10-12, and throwing in some 20 rep squats.

man those 20's squats kill you. the ol tom platz workouts. i did his 20 set of 20 reps workout on squats once. I started with 225 (my max is well over 700). only to find out. that was too much weight. I barely made it.

which shows do you have in mind? labrada? sherman classic?
