Rusty exhaust studs on harley's are a pain my giblets.

i had to snap it right after filling the bike up. that was fun.

at least there's no cams up here to screw with.

After about a week of being apart it's finally back together with the new exhaust. Remind me to never do that t again.

Lot's of fun, and unfortunately all too common on Harleys. The rubber mounted motors are actually worse.
I've got a jig to guide a drill bit to remove the studs.

I always spray a little penetrating oil like Kroil around the nuts before I tackle it just to be safe. Have yet to snap a stud.

i saw they make one but the things $100. screw that. found a good machine shop that does a lot of harley stuff. they had one and were reasonably priced.

found out about kroil too late. but will pick some up for next time. heard granger carries it? PB blaster dindonuffin.

Probably going to be most commonly found at a gunshop. Little bit of heat on the nut helps too.

I've heard from multiple sources that a 50/50 ATF/acetone mix works about the same.
