So I bought this bike yesterday for $200. I'm not sure what problems it has, but I'll use this thread to track its progress from dude to stud. To start the thread off, I'll show you the bike after I brought it home and my goal for it.

Slow progress since I'm having to order the parts then wait for my dad to get home so I can use his socket set. Gas tank and seat are off, I took off the battery, solenoid, ignition wires, and attached the new solenoid. Waiting on an ignition switch and a new battery, after that I'll hook it and and see how it sounds. Planning on worrying about tires and everything else after I can get it started up.

from the looks of that carburetor bowl, you're going to have to go thru the carb and give it a good cleaning and probably replace some rubber O rings or gaskets and a float valve. It appears to have been leaking fuel for quite some time.

Sorry, haven't had a computer. I took a hiatus to go through the process of joining the military, but now that I'm working again, I'm back at it. Ordered a speedometer and ignition, speedometer wire, fuel tank mounting bolts, and a wiring harness. I'm currently in the process of changing out the wiring harness, but need to order a wire that goes from the harness to (I think) the fuse box. I can't seem to find it anywhere though to order.
