Review of the danmoto 2-1

Did a short little review of the danmoto highwayman 2-1 exhaust. It's pretty much exactly what I expected. Fits like and was a pain in the to install. Otherwise it looks good and sounds good. I could buy three of these for the price of a name brand 2-1 pipe. I'm broke so that's why I bought this instead. Would love to run a bassani or tbr but oh well.

Also realized after the fact that I was still winded from pushing my bike into position lol.

Don't do it. Had those on my nightster. Lost a ton of low end torque. And I had to wear earplugs to ride it.

I didn't buy the bike for performance lol.

Plus, I'm getting old and I'm already deaf from years of loud sound systems and loud exhausts lol

I like the way they look and how loud they are. Yes, you lose a little on the low end, but these Harleys are pretty stout out the hole. If you throw them on and you really feel like you're falling on your face, you've got bigger issues to worry about

After working at the airport for a long time let me give you a piece of advice, I mean, hey its free...

Protect the hearing you still have. I wear earplugs when I ride and I will never shoot a gun again without protection.
It can only get worse but you can reduce losing more by taking care of it now. Someday you're gonna want to hear what your grandkids have to say.

i have tinitis thanks to the military, hunting, motorcycles, race cars etc etc. by the time I'm old and gray my hearing will be completely shot.

I've done some testing with a cheap danmoto setup on my sportbike, installed sucked aswell but overall good sound and performance. I also have built v-twins with open headers such as those amazon ones. As long as your tuned correct on the fuel side you should be fine, I run into alot of people installing wide open pipes with no programmers or jet kits installed and wonder why their bike is under performing. If you change one thing, such as the exhaust everything else needs alittle attention aswell....
