Btw it seems that everyone lowered their prices this week. Lol figures. Gillman is still the cheapest. Offering 3500 off on a few Saharas and 4000 off on a few rubies

Got a new unlimited sport. Only upgrades were the hard top and automatic transmission. Got employee pricing that saved me a few grand. Took the t tops off tonight and it was awesome. Desperately needs wheels and tires though. Got the wheels because I had planned on replacing them anyway. Look like donuts. Lol. Probably get some next week. Never seen my wife so stoked as when I pulled up in the driveway with it.

4wheels parts warranties their work with a nation wide network of shops if I'm not mistaken. I installed my own lift, and had discount tire price match 4wheel parts for my wheels/tires. I'm sure the answered to that question will be as varied as the tires you can run on that jeep.

I've worked with the 4 Wheel Parts on FM1960 for years.
Good guys with quality work, plus they stand behind their parts and installs.
Pricing is fair as well.

Look into the good year duratrac tires. Lots of people running them. I'm thinking that's the tire I will do with. I also recommend a 17" wheel. Big selection and not near the tire prices of 18 and 20". I think you need at least 16 to clear brakes. I'm going 17

Been looking at the bfg. Cheaper and look a little more old school. Want to pair them with polished pro comps or crager soft 8s. I like the old school look of those as well. Hoping I can find some polished looking ones that are clear coated though.

When I did the ford I went with 4WP.

I got the 37" Pro-comp Xterrains when they first came out, they were pretty good tires, didn't make a lot of road noise, were aggressive enough off road, but the best part was they wore really well on the street.

Pssh 4 wheel parts is absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. I went and got a quote for the same lift and tire combo and it was around 7500.00. I went to tricking out trucks and got the same lift/rim/tire combo for 3900.00. No warranty tho but still, 4 wheel parts marked up on parts and labor..

Can you detail the specs on what lift/wheels/tires you went with for reference?

The stealth LED upgrade from Quadratec, DOT compliant in all 50 states,

http://www.quadratec.com/products/97109_0003.htm

This is next on the jeep the misses drives, even with the fog lights on, the regular incandescent bulbs are not that great.

, those are pretty cool. I'd be curious to see how they perform. Being a drop-in replacement 7" light, I wonder if they'd drop in to my '71 C10 as well...

Teraflex 2.5" kit Note: good kit but the shocks are . Make sure you go with Fox or blistein in my opinion. 18" fuels, don't remember what they're called tho and fuel tires 35" x 12.5". Also just so you know the 2.5" with 35's will have a clearance issue on the back fenders if you really flex it out. You can go with flat fenders and eliminate the problem. Or just get a bigger lift, but you need to change out a lot more parts if you go over 2.5"- 3" lift. That's the main reason I went with the 2.5"

Any major maintenance items at a particular mileage? I know absolutely nothing about them. Please advise.

What's unreliable about the Land Rovers and what preventative repairs do you speak of? I'm just asking because my wife and are I are looking into an LR4.
My family has had a couple of Land Rovers in the past with no issues.

We're looking for a bigger SUV, currently have an X5. I actually want a Tahoe or the Lexus GX, but the Mrs. wants the LR4.

Any info. is appreciated. (Apologies for thread jacking).

I agree. I added a 6" lift at Cutten Customs. I've taken 2 trucks there already, they do good work.
On the wheels, Discount will match anybody. I bought some 18' Moto Metal wheels on 325/65/18 BFG A/T. Found the best deal online and they matched it.

I will definitely go back to both places.

What's reliability when you're too ashamed to drive the thing? It's the equivalent of dating a fat girl because she'll never leave you or cheat. Either way they're both to ugly to bring out in public.. Now the newer 4 runners are nice, but the FJ is just hideous sorry.
