I would need to borrow some bindings though... I cut my old ones up to use with the kite, gotta have easy on/off. if any of you ever want to try kiteboarding, let me know and we can make a trip to galveston after you practice some with the small kite

You can spend some crazy money on wakeboarding. I was at m2 sports last week and they have a crazy in store selection of high $ chit. They probably have at least 150 boards in stock. I was impressed. The price of some of the ropes is what shocked me the most. 100 just for the handles.FT!

it is easy to lay down the $$$$ for the sport, but man i have been in it since 96. i was hooked. sold the center console, gave up guide fishing and got into this. its pricey but it is awsome, family, friends, good water and good times, what else can you ask for

I've used a high pull before, but it was when i was first learning... I haven't tried one in prolly 3 years. I'd love to do it now but i'm pretty sure it would lead to harder crashes, but i'm game

that was my dilemma when i lived in cali... that is why i bought the kite. It'll pull a wakeboard and jump MUCH higher and land softer once you learn to do it. I have a trainer kite you can learn to fly. to get into that would take about $1500 and you'd have some pretty good gear

I've seen people do that. It looks fun, but I don't know that I could convince myself to drop that kind of $ to see if I like something

Dont rent a board. When I first tried to wb it was like 13 years ago and the boards sucked. It was a flat azz hyperlite that was very unforgiving. The profile is everything. A good board can get you up in no time. Last W.E. a girl we had with us got up on her first attempt. The seconsd time on it took her like 3 times to get up. You have to go with a freind. Try Hern

it's just east of the toll bridge. there is a beach at the toll bridge, here is a map of where we turn in for the beach access. no cars on the beach here, which is perfect for the kite and all the kite lines
