When I saw 99 lined up on offense I thought they were going to run the ball ... when he went into a route and they left him wide open to catch that pass ... I was like "DAYUM". I liked that .... its a game trick plays, defensive guys playing offense, etc etc. Makes it fun to watch.

When we lost in the playoffs 2 years in a row ... I still watch football cause I like it. Cant say the same about Baseball and Basketball. I do watch the WS and NBA finals but wait till the teams are set.

Not even close to being a bandwagon fan.

I love football in general, I have coached kids football the last 4 years, and right now we are having a loosing season with my 8 year old's team, 0-3.

I still love the game. It's better when you're winning, but when you see the "switch" flip on in a kid and they realize if they hit someone instead of getting hit, the game is actually fun.

I have been highly critical of the Texans, especially after doing really good, then going to . I was wondering WTF with Kubiak all last season. I still don't get why they didn't play Keenum more last season, then when they would get up, they would bring Schaub back.

Right now, I like what I see in O'brein, I think he lit a fire under the Texans this year. He is preaching team, and I have noticed he is more inclined to give actual "ownership" to the team memebers, on how they preform, and what they feel needs to be done. He is allowing Fitz to call audibles, and when something is not right with defense, (when we're on offense), he calls a time out and changes the play instead of getting eaten up.

Overall I think the coaching change is what was needed.

It was fun to see the successful fake punt early on though.

There were definitely some things that had me scratching my head, but it's nice to see them doing some unconventional things occasionally. I don't see this team having another 2-15 season, but am starting to wonder if we'll finish over .500.

I never followed Ryan mallet, anyone think it's worth it to put him in a game to see if he would do any better than Fitzpatrick? Couldn't be worse right

if fitz has another subpar game or 2 interceptions we get to the bye then they will make a decision on mallet.....

I think Mallet was ok, not to take anything away from him, but he was not the difference in the game....
for me the big thing this time was our coach took his head out of his and called plays our guys could run...and kept calling what was working instead of going to what he wanted to do that our guys could not pull off...our major issues this year have not been player issues... but game plan issues....
our long term major problem is the moron that the Texans have for a general manager.

The GM is instrumental to the Texans having the good draft classes and players a majority of the past several years. Finding good value in players.

I also think some of the game planning is a result of what Fitz could do with the system and his crash course to learn it versus someone who has had close to 4 years with it already.

the "good" draft classes? What the you smoking?
Our draft and trades and free agent losses have hurt us big time....
play calling with fitz in there sucked, not because of fitz... because of our line and (right side) and its ability to pass block, run block was acceptable....not impressive....and our coach was determined to run his system not what his players could pull off....
GM, is a joke... he is primarily responsible for the demise of the team under the last coach who became his fall boy....
