Unhappy $2500 reward for '13 Daytona 675R ABS ($2500 more if trailer found too)

Hey guys. Someone stole my track day trailer from a storage lot at E TC Jester and W 18th on Monday morning. Two guys were driving a 2003-ish Chevy/GMC Tahoe/Yukon in light gray or brown color w/ aftermarket rims (looked like 20"-ers). Unsurprisingly the storage company's cameras were too cheap to resolve the number plate though I'm sure it was a stolen plate/car...

Anyway, I'm offering a $2500 REWARD FOR INFO THAT LEADS TO THE RETURN of my bike intact. The bike is a 2013 Daytona 675 R ABS in white with a Taylormade aftermarket exhaust, etc. The bike is white in color. The # plate is 4VC315 and the last 4 of the VIN are 8534.

The keys were not with the bike so unless the thieves try to part it out (which is what I assume will happen...) then they will need to get it re-keyed. I've notified all area dealerships and provided information so that they hopefully can't get this done anywhere near Houston...

Anyway, I'm also offering $2500 for the intact trailer as well. The trailer is a white V-Nose Covered Wagon enclosed trailer w/ ramp, roof AC, diamond plate on front, side awning with race checker pattern. I'm not sure if these forums allow for posting a link to the Craigslist so I will just say that if you google "triumph reward" on Houston CL you will get my postings there with additional contact info.

Pretty sure another dude had his whole setup stolen from the same storage facility. Several bikes and bad trailer too.

Good luck! I think the approach you're taking gives you the best shot at getting it back. Although you'd think insurance would handle it for you and for less than $5,000.00.

The bike wasn't insured. Just a track day bike and theft was really the only risk I had to worry about. Trailer is partially covered so the reward on it is more for just not having to hassle to order a new one and do all of the work to it that I had done to mine.

Sorry to hear this. Had my toyhauler with my RZR inside stolen off 43rd and Fairbanks. No signs of the rzr, but I know exactly where my toyhauler is. HPD and/or Harris County Sheriff won't do anything to recover it. Good luck.

That's how they roll. We had a guy in our neighborhood try to break in and I knew exactly where he lived and that he was in the house.
His parents answered the door and said he was not home.
Case closed.

Dude's always walking around in his yard and even after calling to report, still no arrest made that I'm aware to this day and this is years ago.

Moral of the story is if you commit a felony, just avoid the cops for that night and you're good.

Yep. It's at Hardy Toll rd and Ragena (near Aldine Mail Route). A friend of mine was driving down the toll road and saw it. 100% confirmed its mine. Called the cops and insurance (since its theirs now) 2 months ago. Its still there being used,

I'm flabbergasted, felonies committed in plain sight with no consequences.

How much did your insurance go up over this bullshit?

Looks like it will be in the $4-500 range per year higher I added the new trailer and deleted the old, but I also added much more $$$ for contents. A lot of variables.

My whole trailer and contents disappeared from 34th and TC jester. Insurance capped at 25K

My new trailer (5th wheel) got broken into and everything taken out, they totaled the Trailer from damage they caused and I was covered for $50k in contents.

Needless to say I no longer store my stuff and moved to a home with no HOA

Back in 2015 when my truck disappeared from baybrook mall the cops told me " the mexicans have a car theft ring going on and they take them to Mexico". I asked if they were gonna look for it and they said "no sir, not enough man power and you dont want it back". I left it at that. It was broad daylight and at 12 in the afternoon on a weekday

Yeah, I've learned my lesson. Theft is too endemic in this city so I'll be going back to my old harbor freight folding trailer so that I can store it in my garage along with my bike. Would _love_ to get back to a nice trailer setup like I had for all of 3 weeks but unless I move out of the city to a property where I can have a gated drive or large garage to store it in I'm not going to bother again. Just one of the many hidden costs of living in a large city I suppose.

no doubt. I'm surprised to see anyone would store anything of value in a storage lot. MAYBE if it was in an enclosed storage unit but to have a trailer sitting in the lot, no way.
