Recovering word doc after ms word stops

MS Word just crashed and did not autorecover my doc even though I set it to do so every 10 minutes. Last recovery on the doc was on Saturday and I've been working on it every day since. Lost about 30 hours of work on a project that was due tomorrow. Does anyone know any tricks to recover it? Tried looking everywhere and am currently running a scan using a data recovery software but it is half way done and hasn't found anything. Posted this in a couple of computer tech forums so it is a race between you guys and a bunch of nerds to help me figure it out.

When you opened the file up again, it didn't pop up an option that a recovered file was available?

This is why you save often. Autorecover doesn't.
