By all accounts he was a great guy whose luck ran out. But yes, come spring ,there will a steady stream of wrecks and deaths from the PP1 BikeLife Houuston crowd..

I wasn't sure what happened to cause that accident but that sounds about right. Then again you never know what EXACTLY happened unless you were actually there

honestly it kinda seems that way. Still, I'd like to go visit SOME biker gathering (not Harleys) within close proximity every now and then even if they do happen to be full of squids, seems like they are the only ones doing this kinda thing nowadays. it's always nice meeting new people and making new friends, even if I will never ride with them, lol. Jon seemed like a nice guy, I didn't know him personally but I think I chatted with him once or twice. R.I.P.

I ride down occasionally and hang out for a little while but I'm not jumping on 610 with anybody there.

That accident + the car meet one involving the yellow Camaro + TX2K coming soon = will definitely be a hot couple of weeks in the streets of Houston... I'm still seeing a bunch of unmarked cars rolling around from after the freeze last week.

Definitely some truth to this...

Actually there are a lot of State Troopers in the city I've noticed. Twice this week, late at night, I've seen them. I was riding with a friend on Wed. night and we saw a state trooper...we dropped our speed just a little bit but we were going 13mph miles over the limit. The Trooper was fine with it...but this Charger wanted to race me as I passed him and when he took off, the Trooper went and caught/pulled him over.

I think they are cracking down on ANY type of "racing" behaviors. Anyone "inciting" racing, whether on surface roads or on the highways, will likely get pulled over if a city, county or state cop is in the area.

TX2K is one of the last ongoing Texas traditions, other than the normal street racing. I miss the Dignights and roll racing from a 20mph roll... not a fan of the new style 70+mph rolls. , from a dig is a huge rarity nowadays. No one knows how to launch a car

Anyways, I'd be down to start an exclusive PP1... or better yet, look out for MH meets! Coming soon... REAL SOON

Out of curiosity... are y'all pretty much open now, or are there still heavy restrictions due to Covid? I ask because we are starting to open up more and more, each day. Also, our moto meets have been getting much larger in size lately.

I'll be going to a ride in a few hours and I'm sure there will be at least 10 or more of us.

Naah not really. Still plenty of food places here without dine in open. Government offices are still closed for walk in, some let you make online appointments but scheduling is for 2 months out.

I might be there with a friend, depends how I feel about it. Theres time where Im like " I kinda wanna go out to pp1" but then when the day comes I just think about all the annoying rev bombs and the lack of engines blowing up that I kinda just lose interest in going lol.

Ill post here if I end up there tomorrow night
