Still not sure what the CMRA would be doing for the October event.

If accurate about part being gone...

Short track. Think lightweight route.

Could be fun.

Talking to some of the officials they are completely against the short course for big bikes one idea is to incorporate the nascar track from 4-9 if they can figure out the wall situation.

Like I said...

I'm not sure how it would be laid out, but it could be fun.

If I had a nickel for every time Dave Wonders has sent an email about TWS (Texas World Speedway) shutting down, I could afford a 1299 Superleggera like Brian Hooks'

They still have a date up at TWS (Texas World Speedway) in August. I guess they should update the web page then. I wonder how many last track days TWS (Texas World Speedway) can have? It was in pretty bad shape last time I was there but that hasn't stopped them yet.

Ya I know and a CMRA race in October, but this time it seems "real". I'm signing up for the next TWS (Texas World Speedway) just because.

Last report is that in the next month or so they will start construction on the back part of TWS (Texas World Speedway), therefore turns 4 - 9 are no more. All remaining TWS (Texas World Speedway) events including the cmra event are planning to run the short course. That's the last report. Like you I'll believe it when I see it

The word given to us at the CMRA races last weekend was, the outside part of the track will be closed Sept 1st, but the inside will be use till the end of the calendar year.

There are a lot of organizations that are dropping their events because of this and if it continues, the track will just permanently close early. There is still a CMRA race scheduled for Oct, that will just run the short track, unless it closes, then the event will be dropped.

Ridesmart dropped their Nov 4-5 TWS (Texas World Speedway) event from their website. I had it in on my calendar but it's gone from their schedule now.

Never got to break the 2min mark

I never got that fast there either, but I did do one thing I always wanted to do, I did race at TWS (Texas World Speedway). 2 races actually. I was a Prov nov and finished in the back, but I did it.

ULW sprint and 500 super stock sprint. Both on a ninja 300.

I ran the 500 class to fulfill my Prov nov obligation of 2 races in one weekend, as per a suggestion from another CMRA racer. It worked out well.

It was a lot more fun to ride several years ago. It has gotten progressively worse in some areas and it's with time to let the track go or put some serious work into making it a fun safe track again. I was able to run a 1:49 there 3 years ago. I don't think I could do it today.
