So what would it take to make you resort to fist?

On 4th of July we watched the fireworks from our boats across from the yahct club on padre island. When it was over we went to have some drinks on my friends offshore center console fishing boat. The boat next to us tried to back up and since they had too many people sitting on the front of the boat they couldn't so one of our friends (more of an aquaintence to me) says "get everybody to the back of the boat dumbass" .

Well that didn't set to well with the big overweight looking dudes in the next boat so they come over to the side of the boat acting all neanderthal saying come on hippie(his hair really wasn't that long) call me a dumbass again. I could tell by their attitude their was no apologizing or talking coming sense to these dudes. They were amped up way too high. So the dude that called them a dumbass thought he would make it good and go over and apologize and shake their hand. Bad idea.

Two of the guys started trying to pull him out of the boat (even using their legs as leverage against my friends boat). We grab him to keep him from being pulled over and my other friend is trying to pry their fingers from his arms. When he was almost free the third one ran and smacked the longer hair dude in the eye. Blood was going everywhere. He was f'd up. I tried to say hey he called you a duragotory word and you farked his face up bad I think ya'll won. Didn't matter they were still wanting more. So my other friend tells me get the gaffs out and the bat. I go wow this is going to be a 4th to remember nothing like a gang fight with fishing tools.

Anyway my other friend that owns the boat finally cools the agressors down plus their wives and children pleading with them to get back in their boat it finally stops.

While my so called friend was an idiot starting calling somebody a name that he has no clue who they were. I also thought the other morons were idiots to get in a fight(possible gang fight) over a freak'n word in front of their wives and children on the 4th of july.

So it got me thinking what would I fight for definelely not a finger or a word. That is stupid. The only thing I would fight for I think is somebody trying to hurt my family or myself. And if that was the case I probably just wouldn't use fist I would just shoot the sucker(s). On the way I home I decided to keep a piece on my boat. A boat should be just like an extension of the castle law right like you can have a gun in your car without a permit. Am I correct on this?

when i was young, I would hit someone for calling me a derogatory term. As I got older, and the laws changed, or at least police lost their sense of humor, it takes a bit more than that now. Manhood is not only challenged by local idiots but by the government.
who wants to deal with the bullshit associated with smacking some moron.

yes, but you respond to him, which is what he wants. If you just ignored him, he would get bored.

I don't know. Seems like a reasonable question.
What would it take for any of us to get into a fight...

Seems to me like other people come into his threads and try to stir . Unfortunately, Bill always falls for it.

Bill, stop responding to trolls!

Listen, I love little bill. He's fantastique. I don't care if he promotes violence, fists dudes on boats, or likes to take drugs in order to compensate for whatever shortcomings. Bc discrimination has no place on MH. Only LoVe.

At the point he tried to drag your friend off the boat and then assaulted him, it should have went to knives or flying hot lead at that point. Of course, your friend could have kept his mouth shut to begin with.

Mind your own business, and give your ears more respect than your mouth.

I agree he shouldn't have said it. But drunks are drunks and they do stupid stuff. He did try to apologize though.

So what is your opinion about a gun on a boat. Is it the same as having a gun in your car?

So lets say that he called them a dumbass(he did) and they try to attack him in his boat(not my friends) could he have drawn and shot them legally if they were trying to board his boat and attack him?

I just heard about a case in in connecticut where a dunkin donuts employee what attacked by THREE thugs and he stabbed one in the leg and he got 18 months in jail for using obsessive force instead of trying to run a away. And has a felony assault charge on his record. The judge said he was sorry but that is the law. I think I would have shot the judge. Conneticut is starting to sound like pussyville Europe or Australia.
