Kayak fishing spots (saltwater)

I recently got into kayaking fishing and was wondering if anyone has any spots they'd like to share. I've been fishing mainly Channelview area by the lynchberg ferry. I fished under the causeway last saturday as well as the bridge by Texas A&M going towards Seawolf park. I'd like to find a spot with calm, skinny water and fish the flats. The wind and current under the causeway was too frustrating for me.

PM Byrdman. He knows of some cool kayak spots that are calm. The causeway can be brutal. He and I went out in a jon boat to fish the causeway in 30 mph winds. It was sketchy. If the currents and wind pick up over there you can always hop onto the concrete bases that are lowest and tie your yak up to the bridge columns. I always had good luck in the marshes at Bayou Vista. There is a yak launch at Louis Bait Camp and it is a short row.

You can launch a Kayak from Shell Beach in my neighborhood. Google the Houston Yacht Club and you’ll see the spot just to the left of the yacht club. You might want to join Texas Kayak Fisherman or post this question on 2cool fishing.

google maps is your friend. There is tons of marsh along bluewater highway. You can put in at the rv park near san luis pass and go towards bird island and cold pass area. Galveston island state park.

Look into west bay area. Lots of goof fishing in Christmas bay, drum bay and there is a kayak trail as well in that same area. 8 mile as well.

Shore Lines of East Galveston Bay are some of the best. In aYak it's best to go in by Roll over pass. Some of the largest Trophy Trout have been caught back in the shallows on the North East Side of the flats
