Lets go fishing!

Dump the fluids and put fresh fluids in, completely disassemble the carbs and clean them thoroughly, new battery, new plugs/wires, new tires, and new chain. That should at least get you running and then you can reassess and prioritize other repairs.

Main goal is to get it to run. Then assess. Its going to need alot of little things before i trust it at speed. I started breaking it down today. Gonna see if the tank is salvageable. Not sure how well the plastic does with bad gas sitting in it for that long.

Great freaking bike and well worth saving. Miss my Kermit the Frog Green one.
Keep us posted. Watch the tank connections and don't be shocked if the water/coolant in the radiator looks like swamp mud...just flush it and refill. It's not a motor problem...LOL. |

I haven't made any progress yet been working a lot. Will be draining all fluids this week. Plan to pull all the injectors and clean them as well. I was surprised the quick connects came off as easy as they did. I will probably replace them as well. Interested to see what the inside of the tank looks like. Its mostly full of fuel which i have noticed in the past is better than a 1/4 tank. The tank is in bad shape and i will probably replace it anyway. There are a few ones in good shape on ebay for decent prices.
