Just Bought My Dream Bike: 2017 Honda CBR1000 SP2

Wanted one of these since the press release back in October. Have pursued it through every avenue I know possible. Everybody said there's no way you'll be able to get one of these...only 500 being made they said...only 43 coming to the US they said.

Soooooo, I started looking into plan B...the SP1...certainly not a slouch bike itself. Anyway, just as I'd convinced myself that the SP1 was the solution, karma came along and slapped me upside the head. Some amazing timing and some very special stars aligned...and today I was able to purchase an SP2.

Now begins the long wait until October/November delivery, but I'm seeing a therapist for that lol. Until then, I'll just look at these and drool...

No doubt...the trailer hitch has already been served notice lol.

Although Bevo brought his SP over the other day after the flapper mod on stock exhaust, and I gotta tell you it sounds very good.

Well relatively speaking the can isn't too hideously overbearing..... the stock one on my bike was HUGE.

That titanium exhaust sounds sweet and if you don't like the "trailer hitch" you're more than welcome to go around

Put a plate on it and turn signals.

What a lot of riders don't realize is that even other riders don't see their aftermarket turn signals, much less a cager. All the OEM bulbs on this bike are LED and I'm not removing them.

From the saddle I don't even see what's back there.

I hear ya... different application as I don't ride much if any in town. Aftermarket LED's are pretty darn bright.

All I know is based on my experience I can't count the number of times I didn't see that another rider was signaling and I know where their tiny aftermarket turn signals are. A cager wouldn't, plus no matter where we ride we usually encounter intersections and some small towns.
