K&N- worth the $?
Ive always replaced with stock air filters on all my bikes b/c I buy more than one at a time just like my oil filters.. but Ive added full LV exhaust, rejetted my carb, and modded the air box and dont have any stock filters laying around to replace the current dirty one.
I was just wondering if a K&N is worth it? |

Everything I own gets them. For instance. My 08 F150. First 2 tanks were 13.3 and 13.5 mpg. Dropped in a K&N and it went to 15.4 on the 3rd tank. Did the wife's 08 Camry after 2 years of thinking I dont drive so it. She gained 2 mpg calculated on the first full tank after install. They have been in every bike I have owned. I swear you tell the difference when you clean one.

bmc is better, but even a stock filter is better than a k&n.. patrick from Motorcycles Unlimited told me this a while back... that the k&n is a flimsy plastic and does not seal well and it creates a thing called the flutter affect, which creates an inconsistant airflow... k&n's are good for trucks and but no bueno for bikes... jus passing on what the expert told me so take it for what its worth
