Isn't there a physical fitness requirement to be a cop? (not a constable as they don't count.) But asking about real cops.

Fatboy there really needs to lay off the donuts.

I'm not 100%, but I think its just to get on the force, not to stay on.

Agree! Kinda fumbled the mag change but then I'd bet his adrenaline was really pumping too. Now I see why they carry 2 extra mags instead one just one.

I just heard there was a new study that stated cops are the most obese/overweight profession in the country.

Doughnuts and kolaches.

FTP.

But that guy, too.

If you shoot 'em, you don't have to run after them

It'll depend on whether or not the department is covered by civil service laws and what's written in the contract. Civil service is a factor because...in Texas, anyway...an employee covered under civil service can't be fired for failing a test. Physical standards are considered a test, so unless they're written in the contract, they're unenforceable. Civil service protection starts once probation ends, and physical standards can be enforced until then.

And wide angle lenses make it worse.

Definitely. He was pretty chill during the chase and took out a thug that had the drop on him. When the guy got out, I thought it was going to turn out like the state trooper in Austin. Glad it didn't.
