I disagree with you asylum it is not pronounced "duke-ati" that would sond stupid it is pronounced "Du'-Cati"

and as far as the duck goes i have no idea it may just be a big misunderstanding from the owners alot like the misunderstanding that suzuki owners have in thinking they have the best bike when clearly that is wrong

Say Ducati really fast and think of saying it with an Italian accent. It doesn't sound like "duke" it sounds like "duck".

Boy isn't this an enlightening conversation. I feel like I'm holding a conversation with my kid. Are you my kid Mike?

You, my friend, have obviously taken no Italian lessons. The "U" is pronounced like "oooooh" or, if you prefer, the same sound as in the word !

So yeah, shortened to "Duc" it should be pronounced "Duke".

Thank you and drive through.
