Hello from a new middle aged rider down here in the tip of Galveston county. Just took the class in July and after borrowing a friends bike for the first couple of months, I made the plunge and purchased a Triumph Tiger 800 after the storm to actually go places and maybe a little light off-roading. The Triumph is fantastic the more I get to know it, and it has enough power and capabilities to keep me entertained, but honest.

I am pretty savvy with mechanical stuff - I also fly currently and was a cyclist many years ago. Riding is a good combination of those instincts. Still enjoy the other two, but since I can't get the bicycle up to 75 Mph, or slow the plane down to 75, I figure the motorcycle will work the middle ground.

We have dual sport rides more and more often. Looks for posts by William Wolfen in the events section. He gives a good description of the ride and whether its big bike friendly. Most are!

Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome.

FYI - Already PM'd William about the ride this weekend. Not sure if this weekend will work just yet, but if not I will get the other one on calendar.
