Isle of Man announces partnership with 360fly
Partnership will see more immersive and interactive video coming out of the TT than ever before
IF YOU'RE watching this year’s TT races from your armchair at home and not the bottom of Bray Hill, then fear not because the Isle of Man has announced that it’s partnered with 360fly to create video content that promises to bring you that bit closer to this year's action.
The partnership between the Isle of Man government and 360fly with see the latter's 360-degree cameras being used to capture footage from the middle of the action.
The most exciting news to come out of the partnership is that 360fly's cameras will be used to capture on-bike footage from races, giving fans at home the chance to experience a lap of the mountain course from a whole new perspective. The video will be made available on the Isle of Man TT and 360fly YouTube channels.
The same cameras will also be present in the paddock, press room, hospitality area and grandstand, and 360fly will be live streaming coverage via the Livit Now app throughout the course of the TT to give viewers an immediate and immersive window on the heart of the action.
In case you're not familier with 360-degree video, just watch the clip above and drag your mouse around to change what you're looking at.
