Good Deal or Bad Deal

http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/688279159.html

1996 Ducati 916 with a clear title and new Texas registration. Only 4870 miles and still feels like new. Never seen the rain or left outside overnight. It's never seen a track much less raced.

Stock except a pair of CRG levers and Zero Gravity Double-Bubble windscreen. I've relocated the license plate and rear turn signals to clean-up the tail section. It's been low-sided at about 25 mph and I had to replace/repair some of the plastics...that's why it's flat black now.
Valves, belts, and the 6K maintenance were all done less than 1K miles ago.
Tires and chain have less than 1K miles on them. Radiator, front brakes, and clutch fluid were flushed and re-filled with new fluid recently.

Here's your chance at owning a piece of Superbike history. Very hard to find a clean one anymore.

You'll definitely stand out whether you're in traffic or just parked with a group of other bikes.

Doesn't sound bad.
The 6k maintnenance may have been done because the belts were old.
Typical replacement interval is every 2 years, regardless of mileage.

See if he'd be willing to have it taken to a tech to be checked out.
