I'm using Marilyn Gale Vilyus. Not cheap, but I feel very comfortable with her.

Have kids? read on. if not.. then its just split right down the center, and you both move on.

Unless she is on drugs (and PROVEN) OR a child abuser (and PROVEN) OR absolutely clinically psychotic (and PROVEN)

kiss it all goodbye.

There is no judicial "blind justice" when it comes to divorce with kids...she gets it ALL. no matter how much you have proven the courts you are a good man. it IS dependant on her well being. not yours.

good luck.

EDIT:

do everyhting you can within reason to work it out, WORK IT OUT. if not, there is no such thing as a nice "amicable" divorce with your best friend, after she has lawyered up.. she has removed the gloves, and has razors on her fingertips. get ready for .

isnt there a law saying that if you guys dont live with one another your technically divorced?

and u wouldnt have to go through as much lawyer fees and all you have to do is fill out the paper work?

btw i heard it on the radio 713-FREEDOM...or was it 281??

Major question would be do you have kids ??? are you going to fight for custody or not if you do have kids ???

If you have no kids do you think yall are just hiring a attorney for a paper pusher, of will you have to fight it out in court ???

If you have kids hire the best attorney possible.
If you have no kids and just want someone to push the paper work through, then just find a cheap attorney.

Really depends on your situations as far as how much stuff yall have since yall have been married, as in house, cars ect. and what is in whos names

Either way good luck and hope it all work out for ya. I can send ya info on all kinds of attorneys from 300hr or a 1500 retainer for a paper pusher. Just depends on your situation

Sorry man - seriously sucks.

Kids? Yes or no? It does matter. If there are none, its pretty cut and dried - no need for an attorney, Texas isn't an alimony state.

If there are kids, well, its gonna hurt - no two ways about it.

You never truly know a woman until you meet her in court. You need to put on your actor's hat. No matter now mad she makes you, do not say anything to her off. Bite your tongue and make her feel sorry for you. IN A DIVORCE YOU CANNOT WIN UNLESS SHE LETS YOU WIN.

truth.

my (ex in process) wife, was always ANGRY when I saw her or to pick up the kids, she treated me like absolute , and was "in charge" everytime..

yet she cried each time we were in court.

after court, right back to "in charge" momma with NO tears.
