Ducati Panigale v4 Speciale Akrapovic Installation

This install is at least 3 times more difficult than any car full exhaust system I've ever done.

And to think we changed the SP2 exhaust from stock to race in 20 minutes while the bike was still strapped to the dyno

I never liked Ducatis before seeing this, now I will just remember how poorly designed the packaging is LOL

That comment says 12h to swap out exhaust. Fuggen ridiculous.

I wonder how the Akrapovic instructions read...

"Step 1: Disassemble the complete bike."

Well, if you actually paid some poor soul to do this install as in the video, you can find them in the below receptacle at said dealership / service shop.

You guys have no passion.... Now that you have seen what it takes you can be really impressed when a guy has a full exhaust on his new V4... Unfortunately when packaging a 90 V4 with a counter rotating crank... Some sacrifices must be made.. It's not like you got to install the thing more than once either.. Suck it up cupcake.. Great project for a rainy day.

I'm just waiting for the owner to go back to the shop and say they also wanted the pipes heat wrap.

Not that impressive really. The packaging is a poor engineering choice.

Honda have had V4's going back decades and none of this nonsense was needed - not even for the oval pistoned one

And quite the contrary, this shows that any maintenance involving many of the subsystems touched during an exhaust install will involve a fair percentage of this same labor each and every time - and rather than prove how baller ducati owners are, it will just mean less and less maintenance gets performed over time

I'm pretty passionate about actually riding instead of having a bike sitting for hours of disassembling and reassembling. Just because a thing can be done, doesn't mean it should be done. That's just a bunch of time and money wasted.
