First of all, this is rad. Second of all, love the Akrapovic.

Schwantz all the way for me.

(Stupid Europe getting the best liveries)

Suzuki launching stunning GSX-R1000R Legend Edition

Thought I'd go ahead and post the article and pictures. Been seeing sites change their articles lately and up links.

AFTER clinching its seventh rider’s title in the premier class motorcycle world championship, Suzuki has announced a Legend Edition, charting every world champion’s iconic paintjob.

The seven titles in the top flight (covering 500cc GP and MotoGP) were won by Barry Sheene – 76-77, Marco Lucchinelli – 81, Franco Ucini – 82, Kevin Schwantz – 93, Kenny Roberts Jr – 2000, and most recently Joan Mir for 2020. To celebrate taking the top step in the championship once more, Suzuki if rolling out special GSX-R1000Rs, complete with each of the title-winning paint-schemes.

Alongside the special colours and decals, each bike will also come complete with an Akrapovič exhaust and colour coded seat cowl.

Sadly for fans of the designs, and we guess there are lots, it looks as though the Legend Editions are only available in mainland Europe, we'll update you if we hear that this changes.

Well, there's that AND I've met him a couple times. He's a really down to earth, regular guy that is easy to talk to.

Same here. I don't know if they are still open any longer, but Darryl Hurst of Hurst Yamaha, and Marine, was his uncle. ( I worked there in the late 80s, for a few years, when they were on Bingle.) Being a late teen, I TRIED not to bother him too much, and let the "adults" talk, when he stopped by. I did get a few conversations with him. He and Rainey were big time competitors, with respect to each other, and as a racer, Raineys accident bothered him, both as a physical issue, and a competitor, even though they werent the closest guys. I thought it was cool he talked to me about that. He is a chill dude.

Anyways, I agree. Schwantz colors would be a no brainer.

I pitted next to Schwantz at a track day at TWS (Texas World Speedway) few years ago unknowingly. At first did a double take. Chatted a little between sessions, really cool guy. Definitely best looking livery out of all of those. Barry Sheene would be my second choice.
