I got a good deal off Craigslist.
Nice. HoustonTerrell who is another member here got one running for like $200. We took it off roading through 2 feet of water a couple months ago and got it stuck. LOL. I had to tow it out with an ATV. Good times.

That's what I noticed when I was shopping for one. People wanted $3k for old clapped out ones. I've noticed that if you put $600 worth of lift and tires it increases the value by $2,000. LOL. They are expensive as when they are new. The new Yamaha ones are like $12k. They have a 10 hp 350cc motor in them. You can get a Yamaha UTV with a 700cc motor for the same price.

I have a 48v club car precedent. Spent more than I wanted to, but mine had a brand new lift, wheels, windshield, backseats, body and "recent batteries" (that I had to replace a year after I bought the cart..

If buying used, the most important thing I'd say to consider is the batteries. Good batteries will run you between $800-$1,000 depending on what you want/need. Mine were supposedly "recently replaced within the past 8 months" when I bought it.. but I still had to replace them to the tune of $900.00

Yep. You have to maintain those batteries if you want them to last. They recommend checking fluid levels once a month for the first six months. Hardly anyone does that. They can fail in a year if you don't maintain them.

Mine weren't dated which made me suspicious, but of course had to be replaced after six months.

Yep, I am maintaining the new ones religiously. Although I did the same thing for the first round of batteries... Once they get to a certain point, they just keep going downhill.
