So I broke my first CV Joint on my freak'n birthday!!!

Was at hidden falls this last weekend with the yxz and the wife. I guess each time I go I either get braver or dumber and try more hard . I use to use the bi passes to get around the hard stuff on the fence lines no more I go for it. And I use to look at that crazy uphill trail called U Joint buster and say who would try that crazy looking thing. Turns out it was me this weekend. I get almost to top steep rock ledges probably to tall for my stock 27 in tires and get high centered so I start spinner and I guess it spun out my cv joint because the front wheels were totally hanging in the air.

So I wonder if I should replace both cv joints and axles with some aftermarket rhinos or just the one that broke.

What do ya'll think? Also should I buy a spare so I won't ruin another trip by break'ing an axle next time?

I’d replace both with Rhino’s and keep the stock as a spare. Rhinos can handle more cv angles if I remember correctly.

Well if you broke one it makes sense to replace them all. Chances are if you pushed it that hard you are gonna end up breaking the other stock ones.

I went to hidden falls a couple months ago and broke myself. Fell off bike at 40mph. Happened in the first 30 minutes of a 4 day trip. Spent the next 4 days drinking and feeling sorry for myself. Lol.

Tis true. He was actin like a straight beyotch the entire time after.

Id rather break axles than diiferentials....beefier axles means it will transfer the load to something else to break.

I can't wait for you to hit the ground that hard face. Thought I had brain damage because I couldn't remember simple things. Then I remembered that I drank 4 bottles of tequila in 3 days to kill the pain. Turned out I was fine as soon as I sobered up.

If you need more angle ask a dealer for Slasher 8Ball axles. For the price you can't beat them. Warranty claims were very low, and usually user error. I always told dealers to warranty them in the customers favor even if its is from abuse
