Texas Mini GP Round 1 Katy!

Ok MH, get your Miniís on!

Swap to scooter tires on your 50ís...

Get the XR/CRF-70ís sorted...

If anyone needs help drilling/safety wire/tires etc (except those 10Ē tiresó-the with that) let me know.

My goal is to get a few more kids 12yo and below to participate. If memory serves they can use MX gear when starting out.

The more of the little Hondaís we get the better we can network. Parts/food/logistics to keep cost low.

But most importantly to watch your child have fun.

There was getting to be a lot of kids toward the end of last year. Crazy when 12&under has 6 or 7 entries. The GP bikes seem to be getting more and more popular again too with several MiniGP classes having 10-12 entries and it sounds like a few more are joining the grid this year. Fun fun fun.

I can only speak for the XR-70.

But the 70 has two places for oil underneath the engine. Then the dip stick and two axles.

Good luck!

I wrote asking about new rider school and fees, below is reply in case it helps any of you also:

The school starts first thing when gate opens on Saturday. It consist of: an Hour of classroom, then a test and practice time.

The cost are:

Quick update:

Iíll be at the Katy Kart (Gulf Coast Kartway) this Sunday 18 February for a test and tune. We just finished sorting two more 70ís that need to get some laps.

If anyone would like to help me sort the Carbs that would be great!

With that said:

1. We will only race two kids this year.
2. My youngest doesnít meet the age restriction.
3. My niece (9yo) loves to ride but she just is not that competitive. Iíll keep her doing track days. At this point I canít justify the cost when she is happy picking daisies.

Iíll have two extra bikes
a. CRF-50
b. Stock XR-70

If you or your child is on the fence, Iíll invite you to borrow my kids leathers, boots, back protector, and try out a race or two.

Please note, a race school is required ($35), day license ($10) plus cost of a race (minimal $35).

Hope everyone is more sorted than myself.

My test n tune last Saturday was a disaster.

With that being said: the kids and I will be at the track tomorrow (Friday) around 11a for final adjustments.
