Grease Fire in my Kitchen

My GF left the kitchen for long enough to go to the restroom and back downstairs to see the kitchen on fire. The microwave and everything is gone but we got it out in time before it caught the walls or anything really bad. Oh happy days...

SO, women should never leave the kitchen, period.

I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Open the top 2 cabinets and there should be 4 corner bolts holding it in.
Remove those and unplug it. You should then be able to lift the entire back end of the microwave up out of it's slot and twist the front of it down and out.

Glad you caught it, looks like it could've gotten nasty.
When you upgrade the microwave, upgrade the gf too.

Wow. I can't believe the fire destroyed the microwavw, but not the cabinet! Yikes. I had just happened to stay home one Monday morning and thank Gad I did, because I had an outlet fire that morning.

Good job not setting the entire house on fire...
