FS: 2001 Honda S2000 (mostly stock) and a heavily modified offroad 2000 Nissan Xterra
Hi all - well I'm getting married and getting rid of my toys. I hate to let them go, but I don't have the time or the space for them anymore. Both of them are in Round Rock TX. My buddy told me Houston had a great car scene and that people there might be interested.
I've had this car for 16 years (second owner, bought in 2004 in Virginia).
2001 Honda S2000, New Formula Red
Has been garage kept for most of its life.
Excellent overall condition.
No known mechanical problems
Two very minor tears in convertible top
One glued chip in windshield
One small ding on hood
Comes with my upgraded stereo, door speakers, and subwoofer (nothing too exciting but better than stock)
AEM V2 cold air intake (I still have the original airbox if stock is preferred)
Trailer hitch - great for a bicycle rack (I forget where I got this but it's got removable pins so you can take 90% of it off very easily just leaving the brackets attached to the car)
I bought this brand new in 2000 and it slowly morphed into a rock crawler. I've done every oil change its entire life myself, on time every 3k miles, with Mobil 1 synthetic. This thing is a majestic beautiful beast. It's in great condition for what it's done in its life, but it has been offroaded and has the nicks and scrapes that come with that.
Starts and runs perfectly, cold AC etc. It's always been underpowered, though, and with all the armor and modifications it's downright slow. You can drive it on the freeway, but it's not a great road trip vehicle - might be better on a trailer.
2000 Nissan Xterra SE 4WD, Denim Blue
1) Calmini solid axle swap kit and 4-6" suspension lift with skidplates on both diffs and under the truck. Front axle is a Dana 44 from a 1985 Jeep Wagoneer
2) Upgraded axle shafts and Spicer U joints
3) Warn manual hubs
4) Calmini front winch bumper
5) Warn 8000lb winch
6) ARB air locking differentials, front and rear
7) Shrockworks rock rails
8) Custom made rear steel bumper and tire carrier
9) 35" Wrangler MT/R mud tires
10) CB radio
11) 2m Ham radio
12) 3" body lift
The last time I took it to an offroad park, I was turning a slow light-throttle circle in the dirt in 4WD to show my girl how its 4WD and lockers work and something started clicking. I think it's just a Warn hub issue, but I don't know. Needs to be fixed before using 4WD.
Cruise control doesn't work; likely just an issue with the switches that detect when the brake is pressed and released but again I'm not certain.
