Places to ride off road?
Any places to ride off road, or atv parks south of Houston? I'm in Corpus Christi, but ride North on my XRL from time to time. There ain't nothing other than 1 field with a dirt pile down here.

I have heard of Marble Falls before, my friend up there used to ride it alot.
Yea it stinks that South South Texas doesn't really have any outdoors offerings. I would like to move up by the Sam Houston Natl Forest some day. We have the Natl Seashore here, it's fun in the Jeep. 67 miles 1 way of sand. |

Kind of ironic really how Texas has kind of rugged outdoors image, but in reality for size of the state, the area offered outdoor activities in Texas really does suck, because 99% of the land is private. |

I suppose the forest will be closed this weekend? I do believe that we will have to postpone the brazos valley ride day this Sunday to another future date.

James, check the message at the SHNF, as of 2pm Friday, it is still open. Jason has reconsidered closing on forecast and is being a bit more dirt bike friendly since we have begun helping clean the trails in the forest. Mark and Donnie are there riding right now and hopefully we'll get a report on what condition the trails are in today with this rain. We rode Tuesday after the rain last weekend and trails were in great shape with few puddles. Hopefully this rain is soaking in, but we'll see. Depending how much rain they get today and tomorrow will decide if we're riding Sunday or going to Dual Sport this weekend.
