My rant about some people on MH

End of rant

Its a shame to hear people abusing this. I know Camaroz has offered a hand to me more than once and I had never even met him before.

Don't take their help for granted, those of us that actually appreciate it don't want it ruined by a few a$$holes.

My understanding on this:

Today people have the mentality that "free" is somehow tainted or worse than paying someone to perform the same work. People expect a catch in the "free" help, and feel safer assuming that payment guarantees good work or at least the right to warranty.

Quite sad.

^^^good point. That's our dealership all over the place.

I push for techs to not charge for every small thing they do but sometimes they try to push over jobs w patches and not charge. When it comes back then there's a problem with "well I didnt charge for it last time I shouldnt have to do it on my own time this time around." For both sides it becomes a problem.

When I used to work at the sears auto center the techs would get at me telling the woman how to change the headlight or taillight of some womans car.

7 dollars for your GED having to do 3 seconds of work. that

"Ma'am just buy the bulb and I can direct you on how to replace it..."

Done

I can only imagine how that works....Tim says the same...you hook someone up with what is a cheap repair/fix then they think they are entitled to that same treatment again and again.

a/c recharges that were free were only done on my car.. LOL

I would write that stuff up... but I would be like it is seven bucks for my tech to do that or a minute of your time and you will be able to do it on your own from now on.

plus I would usually do that for some of the cute girls that walked in.. since we were conveniently located next to the woodlands mall..
