Exclamation COPS/DRUNKS ARE OUT THIS WEEKEND

Just a heads up to all my fellow MHers...there are a lot of cops all over town (state troopers, too) pulling people over for anything and everything. I was pulled over tonight and given a written warning for no front plate. On the way back from dinner, around 1am, I saw about 10 parked and 4 on-the-move cops prowling 59N from Beltway 8 to downtown and 45S from downtown to Galveston...odd for a weekday. I had my cruise control set at 59mph and thought I was going to get pulled over again when a parked cop approached my vehicle rapidly, paced, and then moved on. And if you think your radar detector is going to help you, it won't...only 2 of the cops I saw all night long had there radar on.

This weekend is July 4th, and since Houston has one of largest fireworks display in Amercia, there are a lot of out-of-towners, and unfortunately, a lot of drunks on the road.

Just watch your back, homies

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

YES! I guess my car must have been tagged as a non-inspected car because that was the first thing the cop checked when he pulled me over.

I have no beef with cops...I am one of the few that usually defends them for what they do everyday. During weekends like this, however, you could be doing everything right and still end up getting pulled over.

July 4th is the deadliest day of the year for traffic accidents in the State of Texas

Traffic for the Clear Lake Show is horrendous!! Leave early & plan on staying late!

The Freedom Fest downtown is totally country...I'm allergic to country!

The Clear Lake fireworks are over the bay by Nasa Road One/Space Center. If you intend on going still, I would be there around dinner or earlier...no later. To be honest, I don't find the Clear Lake fireworks to be "all that". You'd be better off either watching the fireworks in Downtown Houston or in Galveston, right off of the water across from "The Spot"
