Useless signs

I thought I'd start a thread for entertainment on the subject of useless signs - road or other.

1. Guardrail Damage Ahead

I don't normally plan on using the guardrail, and if I do, it won't be by choice - so whether or not it is damaged is immaterial.

Wagon traffic... Sorry Jebediah, if that horse can't do 55mph, you need to pull that wagon in the grass

I saw one today that I have never seen before: Limited Vision Ahead. It was a slight hill before a turn, and as blind turns go, it was really, really blasť. I could see farther there, in a 60 mph zone, that I can in many 75 zones...

Slower Traffic Keep Right - while good idea, everyone on the road thinks this is a useless sign.

This! The worst offenders are on I-10... They set their cruise control on 65 and stay in left lane thinking they are doing a public justice by controlling the speeders.

How about the signs that say something about this area is patrolled by (or controlled by...whatever...) Precinct 4 Constable John Smith. I think they're a little useless to begin with as they're essentially tagging an area as "ruled by.....". As if anyone who's in trouble, needing help, is going to run out and look at a sign so they know who to call! No....they'll just call 911. Even worse is the official's name that can CHANGE with any election.

So the taxpayer pays money to get these signs placed to begin with. Not a quick endeavor as we pay a crew of at least 2 guys in a govt truck, using govt tools to get this done. Imagine how many work hours & material costs it took to place those signs throughout the precinct. NOW think about election time arrives, a new constable/sherrif is elected and now those signs all have to be updated.

If I saw a sign that specific on speed, I would actually slow it down to that speed

I'm amazed how many people slow down when they see their speed. Don't they realize there's a gauge in the car that tell them what their speed is?

Might as well add the Left Lane For Passing . These two go hand and hand

How about "wet floor" signs in restrooms? Really? Don't you think the floor might be wet in a public restroom ? - unless you're a moron. I've even seen it as a permanent wall tile in a restroom in a casino.

When I go out for some fairly traditional Chinese food I like to tell the immigrants that this is an acronym.
Stay
True
On
Power

Just doing my part to keep the traffic flow moving.
