Suspension Tuning in Houston?

Hi Everybody... sorry if this has been brought up before. I just bought a Yamaha R1 and would like to have the suspension tuned/adjusted by a professional. I have done a lot of reading, but would feel more comfortable taking it to someone who has more experience than I do. Anyone in the Houston area who specilaizes in this? Thanks

Go check out p1 racing in Tomball. John Hutchinson is the best in the game and has a wealth of knowledge he can share with you.

They’re open Tuesday-Friday.

Sadly, there is no one near us good at tuning engines or suspensions. I too make the drive/ride. It's worth it.

John does it all. Give the shop a call tomorrow and Sasha/John will get you taken care of.

, I make the trek from Kerrville to have Patrick and/or the crew at Motorcycles Unlimited work on my bike. It is really hard to put a price on the confidence that comes with a team you TRUST working on your bike.

As for the suspension set-up, I have and will continue to say that this is the BEST DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR thing you can do to your bike. Period.

Is it a 2015+ R1? I can possibly help you with setup. What are you looking to do with the suspension? Just dial in what you have or replacing springs, dampers, etc.?

Keep an eye out for a RideSmart day at MSRH if you don't fancy the drive. Roger with OROR is usually there.
P1 and Motorcycles Unlimited have been helping racers for years. You can dial in your stock stuff, but it will more than likely be undersprung...

This. I've gone to Motorcycles Unlimited when I lived in Pearland/Sugar Land and had Patrick setup motorcycles and I understand it's quite a drive. If you can wait, Ridesmart is indeed going to be there on May 11 (5/11). Roger with OnRoadOffRoad Cycles can get you taken care of, and it's a shorter drive to Angleton. I've done this numerous times as well, then take it out for a short spin on Crabb River Road. If you are unhappy with it, he offers adjustments the rest of the day (or weekend if they are there). Make sure you wear your gear as they account for the weight in full gear.

Either way, this is a great investment of not only your money, but your time.

I have had suspension set up at Motorcycles Unlimited. Well worth the drive or ride from Pearland.

I also ride from Pearland to Motorcycles Unlimited.
I agree with less than coop, it's hard to put a price on the confidence in know it's been done right.

When they adjusted the Ducati streetfighter I had, the difference in handling was unbelievable compared to the factory settings.
