Eh.. there superbike is always a rode compromised version of a race bike (at least for the past 11 years or so). I see them doing about as well with this bike.. maybe they will surprise us.. im not holding my breath though.. they seem to have quit trying to keep up with the market and just make an adequate all around sportbike..

Honda back... Well I guess that's one way to spin loosing your title sponsor !

They lost their funding that was paying for their race team and ditched them to hire a party planer to get the bikes to and from the track and an engineering consultant firm to collect all the data and report back to Japan in their native tounge. Not sure that is going to equate to any more presence by Honda, that's probably more wishful thinking and reading into it by the media than is there.

Speaking of which, looking on the bright side with 18 bikes on the grid and 3 of them beign Honda's they'll have a good shot a making the top 15 every now and then.

Quite a good summary

To make matters worse, Moriwaki is pretty much running the JSB spec bikes in a series that has different rules.

The current Moriwaki bikes are violating the spirit and letter of the rules. and none of the tech will filter to Honda street riders so its a lose/lose situation.
