MSR Cresson Repave

I was at a car event at MSRC last weekend. Owner put the word out that the 1.7 track is getting a complete, seamless repave in March 2021. Yes!

After watching YT videos of others riding the track, I'm pretty excited to hear this!

Great. Now we'll have to figure out new ways to tell people how to ride the track since "drift out past the second seam" will no longer apply!

Although this is great news, does anyone knows if they will let bikes back track with CMRA or it's going to be like Eagles Canyon after repaved?

I might finally be riding again in a couple of weeks, so checked their calendar. And yes, seems confirmed they are repaving later this month. MSRH next?

hard to imagine they would suddenly ban bikes right? I mean, existing mc members and all that.

Not ban bikes... I said CMRA. You can still ride ECR but you must be with a member
ECR is just as fun as Hallett IMO and not being able to race on it, it's not good

Ah right sorry, missed that. Yeh, agree ECR would be a great add to the CMRA schedule, and still doable as a day-trip from Houston.

I'd also like to see all four, i.e. MSRH, MSRC, ECR and Harris Hill come together and offer some form of joint membership options for bikers. Maybe something where you pay an upfront fee, which allows you to ride at all four of the tracks for a standard daily rate.

When I had an 8 hour trackway at MSRH 2 weeks ago, nothing about the track appeared “new”. While the nearest track to me, it’s a brutal one. Gravel, bad grooves and dents, areas of concrete mixed with asphalt ... don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, every minute of it, but so I ache to try a proper track void of these deep groves and gravel. Tore up an entire pair of Superleggera SC V3s in one day though...

Best time you ran? Curious how it compared to your 610 run?

The topic is about MSRC. Motorsport Ranch Cressen up near Dallas.

Gravel on the track? At Pit Exit/Entrance or some other place?

But that isn't to say MSRH couldn't do with a repave

Its always had this character. I drove it in 2006 when new and the counter clockwise entrance to diamonds edge had waves, dips and bumps and the Keyhole was already multi-surface patched.
