08 sv650 injectors - no power

Bought the bike wont start. When i getbthe bike it has a lot of water in the tank. And dirt.
Cleaned tank.
Pulled pump apart cleaned it.
Took the injectors out as well.

So when i add any fuel to the throttle bodiesbike starts up right away. So there is spark.

When i put a test light to the wires in the connector
One on hot one on neg. -nothing.
When i move the neg to the battery terminal i get power at the connection.

I tried a mock up and grounded the neg connector wire and then i was getting power at the connector. Should be good at this point.
Hooked it all back up and nothing. Just turns over and over....

What is the trigger for the injectors to get power?

I have not checkes fuel psi yet.

1) Sorry about the horrible spelling. I was still working on the bike at the time.
2) I think I I'm going to go with the fuel pump being too weak. I finally got the injectors to spray but only after I was the switch on and off a couple of times or... let it turn over for a while.

Idk if the 650's have the green connector issues. Also there is the sv portal forums to help. Think it's sv portal and the other sv rider

in stead of a new thread I'll keep this one going.

changed the fuel pump same results.
I swapped injectors as well.

I have 2 options(ideas).

1) the internal filter(not pre filter) is so dirty that It's not allowing the correct fuel pressure to make the injectors work.

2) I lost the FPRegulater plastic cover that holds it in place. So I have it tie wrapped(yes I know it's pretty ghetto) so it'll stay in place. maybe it's backing out and not building FP. Before I go out and spend a ton of $ on a Fuel pump assembly I'm trying to see what the issue is. The bike was doing the exact same thing before I lost that part.

Side note. I cleaned out my whole garage to see if a could find that part. No luck.!
