Speedo not working

2010 Harley 883. I have the Dakota digital gauge... I layed the bike down yesterday during my ride. However after the bike started again the gauge worked fine. Continued to our destination about another hour of riding. Gauge still works... Eat lunch and go to leave and all of a sudden the gauge stop working. No mileage/speed anything..... Headlights work but turn signals do not flash.

Any ideas on what could be the problem and how to fix it

sounds like you probably nicked a wire and it shorted popping a fuse.

I landed in the grass, If it was the fuss wouldn't it have went out as soon as I layed the bike over? Not hours after.....

Not necessarily, if it smashed a wire against the frame it might have taken a while for the insulation to wear through. My buddy lost his side mount plate bracket going down the hardy toll road and wires arched and popped the fuse that runs most of the lighting. I think his headlight still worked also if I remember right.

Fuse was the effect.

Find the cause, or it will happen again.
