I’m sure it’ll be a screamer!

The old R7 was one of the sexiest bikes ever made IMO.

Sweet! Is this the thread where half the members express interest in a 'cool' new bike that some manufacturer releases, and the other half want to burn and bury it?

?

Seems to be a sign of euro emission regs. Not easy to get a bike to adhere and keep similar power. Particularly for lower capacity bikes. So just go with something that's more 'road' bias. Will probably have 30-40% less peak hp than r6? Haven't seen the numbers yet.

Some old 2 stroke track bikes

420lb 690cc parallel twin.

MT-07 with a fairing.

We had this beginner bike back in 1987, it was called the FZ600 - but that one had 4 cylinders and could actually get out of its own way and was a very good budget race bike.

It appears bike manufacturers are scraping the bottom of the barrel now.

Yeh right. At least we still have a boatload of superbikes to pick from. Even though the power those things are putting out is absolutely spastic and overkill.
