Wanting to get started racing

Wanting to get started in mini gp but Iím wondering whereís the best place to find a good deal on a project bike (preferably a kx65). Donít got a lot of dough to throw all at once but Iím pretty mechanically inclined and enjoy the project stage. Most of the bikes (that donít look sketchy) Iím seeing go for about 900-1500 on Craigslist and FB marketplace no matter what the age is.

Does anyone rent out bikes?

Thanks for any leads/ideas

Bike(s):
A Few

1. Donít buy anyoneís problem bikes
(Iím dealing with a bike that has been nothing but issues.)

2. Be very careful whom you trust. Our family learned a tough lesson. People arenít always what they seem.

3. Slow bikes are very reliable.

4. Fast bikes tend to be high maintenance. (Especially two strokes)

5. If I had to do it over again, Iíd go Japanese four stroke and be happy not chasing podiums.

Good luck, TMGP is a blast!

Thanks, i started looking them up and sent an email for further information. A bit confused as what qualifies as GP style in F6, apparently engine size, but i've looked on marketplace and CL and not found that chassis style that fits the engine size except for pocketbikes which i understand are different.

Go check out a race. Much cheaper to buy a built bike instead of doing it yourself. you get beaten up. $100 here, 150 there.....

So much money that goes into building a race bike from scratch that you will never get back... There are way too many track/race bikes out there. Let me know if you need help finding one
