I'm the 3rd owner. PICS HERE https://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/6260368376.html

This FZR600R was originally purchased in Iowa, where the 2nd owner stated he purchased it in the mid-late 90s from a Harley Davidson dealer with about 700 miles. During his time of ownership, he installed a full Vance and Hines SSR2 header/ exhaust system with carbon fiber muffler (he said about $1200.00 installed at the Yamaha dealer) that is not overly loud, but provides a very cool "barky" sound. It has always been garage kept. The 2nd owner stated he dropped it on the left/ kickstand side in his garage ( See photos for associated scratches to the lower left lowers and stator cover). Otherwise no crashes reported and the bike looked uncrashed at that time. He put it up for sale because it was "too fast" for him and he wanted a Harley.

The Yamaha FZR600R was one of my "Bucket List" bikes. There's mostly junk out there, but I wanted to wait and find one that still retained its original performance envelope and capabilities. I looked quite a while before I found this non abused example.

I purchased this bike from the 2nd (Iowa) owner in 2012 with just under 11,000 on the speedometer.

The motor and chassis remains bone stock. Under my stewardship, the front master brake cylinder has been rebuilt with a Yamaha OEM kit and the front pads were replaced with EBC HH Sintered pads. I upgraded the tires to hard-to-find Dunlop Sportmax Z-rated radials. The oil was changed annually with Mobil 1 full synthetic. It is time for its oil change now so you have the opportunity to switch to whatever elixer you use. The radiator fluid was changed when I purchased the bike.

Currently, the bike has less than 16,100 miles. It's a little Yamaha cold blooded, but runs impeccably. The motor makes absolutely no undue noise, pulls strong and hard up to red line, does not smoke (look at photo of the Vance & Hines muffler) and idles utterly smoothly. It leaks no fluid of any kind. Due to lack of abuse, it still has original clutch, chains and sprockets! The original bodywork has some minor wear and scratches but is overall in amazing shape for a 23-year old sportbike. The paint is shiny, deep, clear and unmarred, excepting a few scratches on the left lowers as previously described. I did not wax the bike for the above photos to demonstrate to actual condition. The windshield is NOT DISCOLORED and is near-new condition with original decal. Includes ORIGINAL YAMAHA TOOL KIT and ORIGINAL FZR600R OWNERS MANUAL. OEM handlebar grips. All original frame/ spar rubber plugs present. All OEM reflectors (front and rear) present. See photos.

As a bonus, I am including a helmet I experimentally decaled to match this bike this bike - I started with a new "cheapie" helmet so I wouldn't wear it on the street, but it does look cool sitting on the bike (see photos).

THE PERFORMANCE: I've had the pleasure of piloting this marvelous FZR600R in Texas (The 3 Twisted Sisters/ Lime Creek Road and 2222-COTA for MotoGP, Austin), South Dakota (Sturgis/ Needles Highway), North Carolina (Great Smokies/ Tail of the Dragon) and the endless twisties of Northern Missouri. It pulls hard to redline without a glitch. If you keep the RPMs spooled up it will surprise and embarrass larger bikes on tight roads. It has the vicious FZR600R front brakes you've heard about.

This bike delivers.

I have immensely enjoyed looking at and operating this beautiful and potent machine for the past 5000 miles, but now it's time to pass it on to someone that wants to sample everything a1994 FZR600R is capable of delivering - period.

Thanks man. It's making me sick to my stomach to have to sell them. I've looked for so long for this FZR and a month later I gotta sell it. Soul crushing some might say.

Thanks again. I also have an 86 VFR I gotta list too but it's not running. Fml

Original ad says you bought the bike in 2012 but in a later post it says a month later you gotta sell it?
