Im holding off because the online service I use said the IRS is deciding what theyíre going to do for Harvey victims. Anyone else waiting to see what it might be?

Already did my taxes, my tax lady told me it's just about writing off expenses from the disaster.

Expenses that insurance didn't cover...or people who didn't have insurance.

For those of you who normally have to pay on your return, I'm assuming you claim correctly on your your w4....rather than single 0 when your a family man with children.

Believe it or not, there is red line on the income scale, and when you go over that, you don't get child credit anymore.

I'd rather owe so I can use the overage that would have been withheld to invest, instead of letting the government hang onto it and not even pay interest on it. But, if you don't have enough withheld you can be penalized. I have account earnings that have no withholding that I have to report as income.

Its sickening how much money they steal from me. I'm all for a flat tax. Make everyone pay.

For me itís smart to claim ď0Ē as a family man. That way Iím not surprised by writing the government a check.

Others have a valid point that you donít earn interest on that money. How much interest can one earn in a year anyway...

Welp, how's $749 sound on one single interest bearing account for 2017? But interest, you can do a lot better by investing it.
