Correct, it sounds like the soft- magazine sponsor was after the skin shots for publicity.

But what this actually highlights is that all top racing grids today in all motor sports (2 and 4 wheel) are filled with pay-to-race teams that support the show put on my the 4 or 5 top-talent podium chasers.

And without the money even really talented up and comers struggle to get a seat in among all the high dollar pay-to-race for-profit teams.

So it comes back to a numbers game. The huge attrition rate needed to get a MM93 out in front means that the supporting cast is filled from a pool of maybe ten thousand+ of men and few hundred women at best.
