I’m in for leaving early Friday and staying both nights. I got a truck and trailer. Anybody got space for one more in their cabin?

Alrighty, guess I'm ordering new tires. Anyone out there know whether the Q3+ is worth it over the GPR300? Or if I should get the rear to be the Roadsmart (they don't have my front tire size in smart people tires)?

Also, anyone know where was that place on the south side of Houston that would change tires for $15? I don't have the tools to do it myself, so

I'm in for both nights, and am generally a non-smelly person that could abide with others in a cabin if anyone still has room.

Dunlop RoadSport 2’s for the win...amazing tire for almost half the price.

Sadly they don't have either tire in my size. I'm on a medium bike, with little tires :(

update: Just got off the phone with Patty at Oak Hill Cabins ... she has Cabin #3 left (7person @$135/night ... called at 0930 this morning.

I had an idea to rent a large uhaul with ramp to take the bikes and keep save at night. Anyone interested?

This is what I heard: “... Already this summer we've heard reports of several areas that have been getting repaved. The roads were covered with loose gravel and fresh tar. The 20+ miles of road resurfacing from Highway 16 in Medina to Ranch Road 187 in Vanderpool was completed at the end of August.

Starting in a couple of weeks, Ranch Road 337 between Medina and Vanderpool [on the way to Leakey] is going to be closed except to local traffic for up to 6 months. They are completely replacing the bridge over Mill Creek. All traffic will be detoured back to Bandera where you'll have to take RR 470 to Tarpley and then Utopia. You can then take 187 back up tp Vanderpool and on to Leakey. That's an hour at least of addition time....”

guys the roads are fine. 337 between vanderpool and medina is boring and always has a cop hiding somewhere, waiting to give you a ticket for going 5mph over. its 337 between vanderpool and leakey that is the fun road

be careful out on 336, its recently been "repaved" with a cheap, crappy chip-seal job that will have your tires screaming. its also a little greasy in the technical parts since its still fresh
