Motorcycle Dealership Recommendations???

My boy is wanting to purchase a motorcycle and asked me which ones around Houston would I recommend. Since I purchased mine in Louisiana, I could not offer any advice. While I do realize that we have several dealerships as sponsors, I would like you all to give me your personal recommendations and experiences... And he's not in love with any specific make or model...

Thanks for all your help.

Your best bet would be ExImport. They are the best in the business.

BTW, consider I am just a PW and mean exactly opposed to what I wrote above.

check craigslist houston, san antoine, austin & dallas and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

+1 on not going to Eximport. They'll sell you a low mileage bike that looks like its in good shape, just bring your KY lube.

I bought mine at Stubbs 59.

Will a bank/credit union/financing company finance a used bike like they would a used car?

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but you can always take out a loan from your bank, credit union or (if your job has one) your 401k.

I actually deposit MORE than I have to into my 401k, then just pull money out as a loan from time to time to buy big stuff. Did it with my bike, my 2nd car, my LCD tv, rims and tires, expensive car repairs, etc... You pay yourself back the interest, you set the duration to pay the loan and it's not revolving credit that can pork you over the long term.

Just a suggestion.

Oh yeah, a used bike is you VERY best bet.

Wild West Honda (in Katy) has a good selection of used bikes.

So does Stubbs Cycles.

AND stay FAR away from ExImports.

That is one of the nice things about local forums. I was just about to buy an Aprilia from Eximports but now it looks like I will be going else where. Without this forum I would not have known anything about them and their reputation. Thanks.
