Sumos at Speedsportz 3/22

2 of us heading to Speedsportz in New Caney Friday afternoon with supermotos. Gonna jump on their big track from 2pm til close.

Would love to get a large group together to ride the track. 2 Fridays ago C4nuck and i basically had the track to ourselves. They do have a cc limit at 450cc with the intent to keep the noose down for the neighbors.

Price is $70 per day.

I have to work Friday night or I would bring out the KTM. It isn't exactly a 450 but no one said anything last time out.

I noticed that as well. I don’t think they are as concerned about cc’s as they are about noise level.

Well, with the race cam and full exhaust it's pretty load too. It was Monday night so that may have helped some too.

Had a blast and got the chance to share the track with Garrett Gerloff. He’s kinda fast.

I would say full leathers but there have been some guys in some dirt gear with some padding on underneith. But I dont know why anyone would risk road rash.

oh yeah, def gotta have the gear on. i just dont have a leather suit (yet?). i have a couple of jackets and some a* knee/shin pads. iv'e put this stuff to the test with electric mini racing last year. lol i know i'd be going down if i get out onto a track. with electric mini racing i averaged one good wreck or slide per session.
