WTB scooter, Kymco or similar

Noob, female, looking for a classic style scooter similar to the image, which is listed as a Kymco (Like or Agility). Brand is less important than condition. I might consider a Vespa for the right price.

I don't see a scooter subforum here - someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

I also cannot find good resales sites for greater Houston, but I will note that there is no shortage of scammers out there.

Thanks for any pointers you can give me.

On FB. there's "Houston scooter battalion" they have a monthly ride inside the loop. Apparently they don't take kindly to wheelies on a mini bike lol

There is a Honda ruckus for 1200 on offer up. Can't go wrong with a Japanese model. It always looks as those those Chinese scooters are broken down.

Thanks. That model is only 50 cc I think. By spousal negotiation, I am looking for a 150 +/-. My husband used to own a Ninja so he has far more experience with motorcycles than I do, and his advice is, "Whatever you choose must have enough power so that you can get out of the way when you need to." I should have specified that above.

I would recommend a Honda PCX 150. There are a couple on Craiglist if you're willing to drive. Both like new, less than 1k miles and priced ~$3k

Kymco's are good scooters also. And Yamaha and Suzuki as well but you'll need to upsize to a 300cc or 400cc scoot.

Best way to get out of the way is to just not be in the way. If your on a 1k you can still be in a way. Yes they have power but that alone won't save you.

Thanks. That's probably the 4th one I've messaged on OfferUp. I haven't gotten a single reply so far.
