selling trees

Has anyone ever sold trees off their property to a lumber yard or such? I plan on getting rid of a few oaks/pines, but if i can sell them instead of doing it all myself or paying someone to come cut them for me, that route sounds much better

the storm that brought the winds of the other week also knocked over one of my largest oaks that i had no plans of getting rid of so i may turn that into firewood. But its a lot of tree

My folks have forest land and harvest trees to sell every year. An expert comes in and marks the trees that are suitable for harvesting. A lumber company is not interested in just any old tree.

Barbecue places (or their wood supplier) usually will send crews out to chop up and haul off fallen trees. Oak at least. Pine, not so much.
